Abstract

LIC-OTHER-MSGCPF8122 LIBRARY DAMAGED WHEN STORAGE LIMIT IS
REACHED

Error Description

A library may be damaged if a storage allocation failure occurs
while removing an object.  The next IPL or vary on will be long
as context rebuild is run to recover the library.

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply LIC PTF MF63800 for i 7.1.             *
*                 Apply LIC PTF MF63733 for i 7.2.             *
*                 Apply LIC PTF MF63795 for i 7.3.             *
****************************************************************
Indexes may become inconsistent in some cases as a result of
reaching a storage limit or changed pages not being written to
disk before power off.  If a storage limit is reached while
updating a library's internal index, the library may be damaged
and context rebuild will run on the next IPL or vary on.

Problem Conclusion

Index code will be corrected to avoid an inconsistent state in
these cases.
