****
Customer sees key mismatch after restoring a physical file that
had been saved while active during an online RGZPFM (using
ALWCANCEL(*YES)). Customer also reports that some records
inserted into the file did not appear in the file.
It has been determined that there windows during a RGZPFM
ALWCANCEL(*YES) where data segments on disk contain deleted
records beyond the last valid record in the file, while the
corresponding address range in memory has been cleared. A save
while active that occurs while in this state where cleared areas
of the file have not been forced to disk yet results in the DISK
image of the file being saved to media. When the media image is
restored, records inserted into the file beyond the current last
record will overlay one of these deleted records and will appear
to be deleted, even though we also generate and insert a key for
that record into any indexes above the file.
Problem Conclusion
This PTF will ensure that cleared areas of the file will be
forced to disk prior to allowing a save of the file.
