Abstract
LIC-INCORROUT-DISK-D/T6B22 VIRTUAL SCSI DISK NOT CONNECTED
Error Description
virtual SCSI disk units become inoperative during
initialize/format in a shared memory partition.
Problem Summary
While initializing multiple virtual SCSI disk devices (D/T6B22,
D/T6B23, or D/T6B4E) at once in a partition that is using a
shared memory pool, the initialization may fail and one or more
of the disks will have a status of Not Connected in Hardware
Service Manager. Initialization occurs when attempting to add
nonconfigured disks to an Auxiliary Storage Pool or by the
Initialize & Format disk unit recovery action.
Problem Conclusion
The buffer containing sector 0 from the previous disk will be
cleared before requesting inquiry data from the next disk during
device discovery processing.
