Below is a list of components, platforms, and file names that apply to this Readme file.

This upgrade supersedes 7.4.0.1-TIV-CAMRT-IF0001 and provides support for Rational Performance Tester 9.0.0.x. It also contains fixes for several APARs previously opened for ITCAM for Transactions V7.4.0.x, see 'APAR Content' section for details.
This upgrade can only be applied to the following base versions.

• 7.4.0.x - AIX, Windows, Linux

• ITM V6.2.3.3 or later
• ITM V6.3.0.1 or later

During the upgrade or install of Rational Performance Tester v9.0 32bit architecture needs to be selected.
The following technote describes issues that will arise if 32bit is not selected:
Export from RPT does not export the runtime

Before removing the Rational Integration Support plugin the RPT UI must be closed.
The robotic response time agent uses compound tests to organize smaller tests in to scenarios that can then be run end-to-end. When you replay compound tests on the robotic response time agent, tests are run in the order in which they are defined inside the scenario. Other functions that you can define in the Rational Performance Tester Workbench, such as loops, delays, synchronization points, and randon selectors are ignored.

Rational Performance Tester V8.5.0.X or V8.7.0.x is not supported by ITCAM for Transactions V7.4.0.X

Installing

• Download 7.4.0.1-TIV-CAMRT-$Platform-IF0008 IFIX file.
• Upgrade Robotic Response time agent to make it with the fix of the several previous opened APARs, and can support Rational Performance Tester v9.0 scripts:
  
  1. Copy the downloaded IFIX file to agent server and extract it in proper dir.
  2. Stop Robotic Response time agent.
  3. Backup the following jar files out of $ITM_HOME directory:
     
     • In Windows:
       
       • $ITM_HOME\TMAITM6\t6\lib\playback.jar
       • $ITM_HOME\TMAITM6\app\genwin\lib\playback.jar
       • $ITM_HOME\TMAITM6\kt6plugin.jar
       • $ITM_HOME\TMAITM6\t6\lib\kt6com.jar
     • In Linux or AIX:
       
       • $ITM_HOME/$PlATFORM_CODE/t6/lib/playback.jar
       • $ITM_HOME/classes/kt6plugin.jar
       • $ITM_HOME/$PlATFORM_CODE/t6/lib/kt6com.jar
  4. Copy playback.jar, kt6plugin.jar, kt6com.jar from extracted IFIX files to the corresponding directory listed in step 3.
  5. Start Robotic Response time agent.
     Notes: If you just want to apply the fix for the APARs, you do not need to do the following steps.
• Integrate JAVA8 with Robotic Response Time Agent:
  
  1. Stop Robotic Response time agent.
  2. Copy the folder java80 from the extracted IFIX files to the following directory:
     
     • In Windows:
       
       • $ITM_HOME\TMAITM6\
     • In Linux or AIX:
       
       • $ITM_HOME/tmaitm6/
  3. Start Robotic Response time agent.
     Notes: Since playbacking Rational Performance Tester v9.0 scripts depends on JAVA8, so we need to integrate JAVA8 with RRT Agent.
• Installing ITCAM for Transaction Integration Plugin for Rational Performance Tester:
  
  1. Stop Rational Performance Tester.
  2. Uninstall the existing ITCAM for Transaction Integration Plug-in by using one of these methods:
     
     1. Control Panel > Programs and Features
     2. Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
     3. Run the following .bat file:
        $INSTALLDIR\SDP\rt_plugin_uninstall\uninstall.bat
  3. Download 7.4.0.1-TIV-CAMRT-Windows-IF0008.zip, and extract the RationalIntegrationSupport.zip included in it.
  4. Locate the file called 'setup.exe' and double-click it, then follow the instruction to install the plugin
  5. Start Rational Performance Tester.
     Notes: The Integration Plug-in provided in this IFIX can be applied to all the Rational Performance Tester or Rational Functional Tester that ITCAM for Transactions V7.4.0.X supported, not only for Rational Performance Tester V9.0.0.X.

IV74161: When enable Content capture In Windows Platform, Content Capture zip files continue to generate without VP failure Event.
IV72305: "wfcrun32.exe" must be restarted periodically, if not, some unexpected VP failure will happen.
