APAR status

Error description

  • A non-CHPIDV guest reset allegience CCW causes an unneccessary
broadcast to other members of the SSI when the data indicates
that a reserve is held elsewhere. This is unnecessary for
a non-CHPIDV guest and the data from the X'44' CCW issued
on the guest's system should be used as the final result.

    ****************************************************************
    A non-CHPIDV guest reset allegience CCW, X'44',
causes a broadcast to other members of the SSI
when the data indicates that a reserve is held
elsewhere. This is unnecessary for a non-CHPIDV
guest and the data from X'44' CCW issued on the
guest's system should be used as the final result.

Problem conclusion

  • CCW untranslation, HCPDUP, was modified to not broadcast to
other members of the SSI for a reset allegience CCW issued
    by a non-CHPIDV guest.
