Error description

• The IBM z13 will be the last z Systems server to support
  running an operating system in ESA/390 architecture mode.
  All future servers will support only operating systems that
  run entirely in z/Architecture mode when running in a logical
  partition.  This APAR (VM65921) enhances the CP component
  part of stand-alone dump to DASD program to run in
  z/Architecture-only environments.

  This APAR (VM65921) enhances the image file in the CP component
  that is used to install the stand-alone dump to DASD program to
  run in z/Architecture-only environments.  APAR VM65922 is
  necessary to update the image files in the CMS component that
  are used to install the stand-alone dump to DASD program.
  
  These two APARs are necessary for z/VM V630.  No change is
  necessary for z/VM V640 because the stand-alone dump utility
  included in the base install already supports running in
  z/Architecture-only environments.
  
  A program interrupt loop or a disabled wait state 9020 will
  occur if a prior level of the V630 stand-alone dump program or
  a stand-alone dump program from an earlier release is used in
  a z/Architecture-only environment.  The program interrupt loop
  may appear as a "disabled wait PSW" of all zeros in the HMC's
  Hardware Messages screen when running in an LPAR.

Comments

• This APAR ships the CP changes for Stand-alone Dump necessary
  for machines that run entirely in z/Architecture mode.
  
  To use this support, you must also install APAR VM65922 in the
  CMS component which contains replacement IMAGE files.  Three
  of those files (SSPI71, SSPK71 and SSPP71), along with the
  SADU71 IMAGE file shipped by this APAR, are used by the SDINST
  utility to install the stand-alone dump program to DASD.
  
  Note that if compatible image files are not used when running
  SDINST, the following error occurs.
