APAR status

Error description

  • Abendpaj003 occurs when a Unplanned Hyperswap is triggered.
This causes the Hyperswap to fail.

A soft abend is generated when an HPF paging error occurs. If
this happens while the system is quiesced for a Hyperswap, a
wait state is entered.  This will cause the Hyperswap to fail.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • HCPPAJ has been updated to detect if the system is in hyperswap
when an HPF paging occurs.  If it is, the 1138 message is by-
passed, and the PAJ002/PAJ003 soft abend is delayed until the
swap completes.
