Running the Enterprise PL/I IVP program with the z/OS debugging
tool IGVDGNPP active resulted in ASCII output instead of EBCDIC.

Problem conclusion

  • One of the pointers in the Enterprise PL/I I/O library code was
not initialized properly, causing random storage area to be
referenced when checking an internal flag for the ASCII/EBCDIC
state. The Enterprise PL/I library has been modified to correct
    the problem.
