Error description
Application has an unrecoverable ABEND while in a socket call that requires a route lookup. After that point, later attempts to update that table will be suspended waiting for that search to complete (which it never will). This is a FINREVERSAL of PM77014

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of the Communications Server for * * z/OS: TCP/IP * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Sysplex Monitoring recognized that * * OMPROUTE was not responsive and * * removed the stack from the Sysplex. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A thread reading the routing table ended with a non-retryable abend. This causes all later attempts to update the routing table to hang. If OMPROUTE is being used OMPROUTE will also hang when it attempts to update the routing table. If OMPROUTE is hung and Sysplex Monitoring is being used, then Sysplex Monitoring will recognize the OMPROUTE hang and leave the sysplex. +-------------------------------------------------------------+ + Please check our Communications Server for OS/390 homepages + + for common networking tips and fixes. Problem conclusion
The stack recovery code was changed to recognize when a non-retryable abend occrs while reading the routing table. In this case the recovery code will now correctly clean up the routing table to allow updates. * Cross Reference between External and Internal Names
