Error description

  • Using IPCS VERBX DFHPD670 'SM' on a CICS system dump shows
different values than using Fault Analyzer's SM command from
the command line. On one particular dump under IPCS, using the
command VERBX DFHPD670 'SM' shows the following data:

    SM: Domain subpool summary (ECDSA)
Name Id Chn Initf Bndry Fxlen Q-c
     SMSHRC31 00C9 Y 16
    .
    Gets Frees Elems Elemstg Pagestg
    4621 4167 753 33737424 35088K

...while using SM from the command line under FA shows:

Name Id Chn Initf Bndry Fxlen Q-c *Gets *Frees
    SMSHRC31 00C9 Y 0K 15 00000000 504621 504167
    .
    Elems Elemstg Pagestg
      753 202CAD0 48252K

Here is what initial analysis showed:

Bndry - it appears that FA needs to add 1 to the value in
    SCA_BOUNDARY. This will be corrected.

Gets - the field SCA_GETMAINS contains X'7B32D', Decimal
504621. It looks like the CICS VERBX is wrong, displaying only
only the last 4 chars of the decimal value.

Frees - the field SCA_FREEMAINS contains X'7B167', Decimal
504167. It looks like the CICS VERBX is wrong, displaying only
the last 4 chars of the decimal value.

Elemstg - FA will be changed to display two columns -- one in
    hex, one in decimal.

Pagestg - FA is using the wrong field. This will be corrected.
