• Abend 0C4 when Syslogd attempts to zero a pointer that has been

  During restart processing, all the of storage for the file
  rules are freed.  It is possible for this heap storage to be
  freemained.  During archive initialization for the new
  configuration, the file system control blocks for the previous
  configuration are freed.  Including resetting a pointer in the
  rules control block. This reference to freed storage may
  overlay storage or abend if it is  freemained

Problem conclusion

• SYSLOGD is amended to free the previous configuration file
  system control blocks before the previous rule control blocks
  are freed preventing storage overlays and abends.
