Problem summary: A WebSphere Application Server on z/OS is configured to use the MQ JMS Resource Adapter where the RA level is 7.0.1.x The Resource Adapter accesses native libraries to connect to MQ in bindings mode, either through the Resource Adapter's "Native Library Path" attribute or through the WAS server variable MQ_INSTALL_ROOT. If the RA is configured to access native libraries from MQ z/OS V7.1.0, then an FFDC with ProbeId JM659002 is issued during server startup reporting a structure size mismatch between the Java and native code for the RXPB structure. FFDC Exception:com.ibm.ws.wmqcsi.trace.WMQClientException SourceId:checkSize(Vector,Hashtable,Pint ,int) ProbeId:JM659002 Reporter:java.util.HashMap@7d5a7d5a com.ibm.ws.wmqcsi.trace.WMQClientException: FDCTitle Product :- ProductName Date/Time :- Mon Sep 16 10:41:41 GMT 2013 System time :- 1379328101288 Operating System :- z/OS UserID :- XXXXX Java Vendor :- IBM Corporation Java Version :- 2.4 Source Class :- com.ibm.mq.jmqi.local.LocalServer Source Method :- checkSize(Vector,Hashtable,Pint ,int) ProbeID :- JM659002 Thread :- name=main priority=5 group=main ccl=com.ibm.ws.bootstrap.ExtClassLoader@21d621d6 Data ---- | INSERT1 :- 88 | INSERT2 :- 92 | INSERT3 :- MQ Structure size check, size mismatch | INSERT4 :- index:33 RXPB version:3 | RETURNCODE :- 0 Stack trace ----------- Stack trace to show the location of the FFST call | FFST Location :- java.lang.Exception | at com.ibm.msg.client.commonservices.trace.Trace. getCurrentPosition(Trace.java:1854) | at com.ibm.msg.client.commonservices.trace.Trace. createFFSTString(Trace.java:1793) | at com.ibm.msg.client.commonservices.trace.Trace. ffstInternal(Trace.java:1674) | at com.ibm.msg.client.commonservices.trace.Trace. ffst(Trace.java:1491) | at com.ibm.msg.client.wmq.common.internal.WMQTraceHandler. ffst(WMQTraceHandler.java:706) | at com.ibm.msg.client.wmq.common.internal.WMQTraceHandler. ffst(WMQTraceHandler.java:668) | at com.ibm.mq.jmqi.local.LocalMQ. checkSize(LocalMQ.java:582) | at com.ibm.mq.jmqi.local.LocalMQ. initialise_inner(LocalMQ.java:446) | at com.ibm.mq.jmqi.local.LocalMQ. initialise(LocalMQ.java:244) | at com.ibm.mq.jmqi.local.LocalMQ. <init>(LocalMQ.java:1123) | at com.ibm.mq.jmqi.local.LocalServer. <init>(LocalServer.java:188) Problem resolution: The MQ Resource Adapter has been updated to correct an error in the calculation of the RXPB control block size, so that the JM659002 FFDC will not be issued. This fix changes the Java component of MQ, and will be included in a FixPack APAR. The V7.0.1 fix will be included in FixPack 7.0.1.12 (PM96878).
