PM88078: S0C4 ABEND IN EZBPTFND AFTER A SYSTEM LEAVES THE SYSPLEX

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• TCPIP is in a sysplex with DYNAMICXCF defined.  When a partner
  system leaves the sysplex (typically a normal shutdown), the
  potential exists for an ABENDS00C4 to occur in EZBPTFND within
  (roughly) 100ms of the EZZ4315I message associated with that
  system's XCF interface.
  
  
  Other Symptoms:
  
    The ABENDing SRB is running EZBIFOB1.
  
    The address passed as the first parameter to EZBPTFND (the
    Tree_Token value) from EZBIFATT will be x'00000008'.

  * A partner system was removed from the sysplex                *
  * which results in the corresponding XCF interface             *
  * to that parnter being marked in deleted state.               *
  * A timer driven routine in EZBIFOUT performs                  *
  * outbound blocking processing for each active                 *
  * interface. This logic is incorrectly processing              *
  * the XCF interface which was just marked as                   *
  * deleted. EZBIFOUT calls EZBPTFND which                       *
  * abends accessing a control block structure                   *
  * which should only be referenced for an                       *
  * interface in active state.                                   *

Problem conclusion

• The parens on an IF statement in EZBIFOUT
  
  were incorrect. Fix the parens to ensure
  
  that EZBIFOUT will only call
  
  proc Blking_Timer for DIFs in active
  
  state.
