PM81404: RANDOM EZY1369E MESSAGES WHEN USING AT/TLS WITH CICS LISTENER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The CICS Listener transaction (the EZACIC02 program) is
  activated with AT/TLS policies defined for its port.  At various
  times the following messages might be produced:
  
     EZY1369E mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss LISTENER tttt nnnnnnnL IS DELAYED,
              STACK tcpip    IS UNAVAILABLE
     EZY1291I mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss LISTENER TRANSACTION= tttt TASKID=
              nnnnnnnL ACCEPTING REQUESTS VIA PORT ppppp
  
  The times on the two messages will likely be the same, and there
  is no indication of problems with the TCPIP stack.  If the
  TQUEUE is examined, these messages will be preceded by the
  following:
  
     EZY1259E mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss IOCTL CALL FAILURE
              TRANSACTION=tttt TASKID=nnnnnnnL ERRNO= eeeee
  
  There will likely also be an EZD1287I message for some SSL
  handshake failure from TCPIP.

  During an AT-TLS  hand shake an IOCTL was issued by the listener
  to retrieve the AT-TLS credentials, but the client already reset
  the connection and the IOCTL was rejected with ENOTCONN (no
  connection). Then the connection was closed and the listener was
  put into quiesce mode.
  The listener does not need to be in quiesce mode since the stack
  is up and running and the connection was successfully closed
  after the IOCTL socket call.

Problem conclusion

• EZACIC02 has been changed to not quiesce the listener after
  an IOCTL for an AT-TLS hand shake fails.
