Error description
CSSMTP health checker unnecessarily checks the directory coded on the DeadLetterDirectory statement with the STATVFS command even though DeadLetterAction is set to Delete. It should only check for that directory if DeadLetterAction is set to Store. The following message would be seen when this problem occurs: ICH408I USER(CSSMTP) GROUP(GRPNAME) NAME(CSSMTP, STARTED TASK) /tmp/CSSMTP/DeadLetter/ CL(DIRSRCH ) FID(00003A270000003C0000000000000000) INSUFFICIENT AUTHORITY TO STATVFS ACCESS INTENT(--X) ACCESS ALLOWED(OTHER ---) EFFECTIVE UID(0000001234) EFFECTIVE GID(0000000123)
Local fix
. Define the dead letter directory in the DeadLetterDirectory statement or use the default name /var/cssmtp/extWrtName/deadletter. and set the permissions on the directory to 777 so that CSSMTP can issue the STATVFS command.
