PM75418: WEBSPHERE MQ V701, 5C6-00E501A1 RESULTS IN S058 RC8 AND 5C6 00E50013 / 00E2001E ABENDS, QMGR TERMINATED WITH 6C6-00E5005

APAR status

Error description

• WPPIS1BS is going through termination processing at the same
  time as RRS is performing backout processing for the UR
  associated with ACE 10178EE0 (MQ URID 0227CB8AC70E). The
  backout processing on RRS TCB 009DCCD8 switches to EB 10178F40,
  and CSQ3BCK performs an execution unit switch to EB 111DE700
  for backout processing to take place on an SRB in the
  queue-manager address space. While the backout processing is
  taking place, termination processing for WPPIS1BS (asid xDD)
  detects that there are outstanding private contexts for this
  address space, and attempts to terminate them. One of these
  contexts is associated with ACE 10178EE0. CSQMLCMT invokes
  CSQVDISC to disconnect the ACE from the current address space.
  As part of this processing, it detects that there is an
  outstanding execution unit switch and therefore switches to EB
  10178F40 and suspends. However, CSQVSRX detects that this EB is
  already suspended, and the 5C6-00E501A1 occurs. This also
  results in the S058 RC8 and 5C6 00E50013 / 00E2001E abends seen
  in logrec

  During termination of an allied address space, CSQMCLMT (local
  memory terminate) was executed for the jobstep tcb. CSQMCLMT
  detected there were RRS contexts associated with the address
  space, and switched to each context to perform necessary
  processing. When switching back from one such context, CSQVDISC
  detected there was an outstanding execution unit switch, and
  attempted to suspend until this had completed, however the
  execution unit switch had been issued by MQ's RRS backout exit
  which was also using the same context and was already waiting
  for the switch to complete. This led to the suspend issued by
  CSQVDISC abending 5C6-00E501A1 and causing the queue manager to
  terminate 6C6-00E50054.
  

Problem conclusion

• Additional serialisation is added to CSQ3RRSX and CSQMCLMT to
  prevent the context EB associated with a context from being used
  by both simultaneously.
