PM68712: EZD0027I ERROR 2005 ASSIGNING VMAC AFTER RECYCLING OSM CHPID

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On a system that is configured as a member on zEnterprise
  Ensemble, if an OSM CHPID has been taken offline for any reason,
  the subsequent restart may result in an EZD0027I ERROR 2005
  ASSIGNING VMAC TO INTERFACE EZ6OSM0x message from several or all
  participating TCPIP stacks.
  

Local fix

• Issue a VARY TCPIP,,START,EZ6OSM0x command to recover.

  TCP/IP saves the VMAC address assigned to an OSM interface
  when it initially activates.  When the OSM interface is varied
  OFFLINE/ONLINE and the OSM interface is started the activation
  may fail registering the saved VMAC address with the physical
  device.

Problem conclusion

• EZBIFIND has been amended to request a new VMAC if the saved
