The problem occurs with PDS datasets and appears to be a
pending buffer write which is not performed correctly when
moving onto the next selected member.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When processing multiple members with   *
*                      an UPDATE() statement using DSEB File   *
*                      Manager gets an ABENDS001 or            *
*                      ABENDS0F4.                              *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
File Manager is trying to update a previous member after having
repositioned to a new member on the input data set.

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager has been changed to ensure all updates are
performed before processing the next member.
