Error description

  • If an FTP client connects to the z/OS server, attempts to send
    data to a new generation of a GDG, and the transfer fails; the
    FTP server may attempt to delete the wrong generation when
    cleaning up after the failure. This could manifest itself in
    other ways, but one scenario yields the following error
    messages:

    seq_delete_file: SVC99 ALLOC failed with rc 12
    seq_delete_file: S99ERROR = 0394

    * but the client never sends in any data. *
    * FTP times out the receive, but an error *
    * occurs when attempting to delete the *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    SVC99() is using GDG structure to delete the GDG file. For
    store into a GDG(+1), the status and GDG_mem in GDG structure
    is incorrect so that the error occurs and the GDG(+1) is not
    deleted.
