  • When attempting to extract metadata from a PDF without proper
    XREF tables, the rebuild catalog process may abend with an 0C4.

Local fix

  • Remove any invalid PDFs from the Library Server collecitons.
    

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Users with certain PDFs produced by vendors. *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During the Library Server rebuild       *
    *                      catalog process, when certain PDFs are  *
    *                      present an 0C4 abend occurs and rebuild *
    *                      catalog fails.  This problem was        *
    *                      introduced with support for PDFs with   *
    *                      compressed X-refs in August of 2011.    *
