PM40439: ABEND0C4 IN EZBUDEET

APAR status

• Closed as unreproducible in next release.

Error description

• ABEND0C4 in module EZBUDEET when initializing the IUTIL
  parameter list and  SAVEIUTL@ = 0 (register 2). CSM storage
  is also constrained.  EZBUDEET processes the command -
  DISPLAY EEDIAG,TEST=YES
  

Local fix

• CIRCUMVENTION:
  The ABEND0C4 can be circumvented by changing
  VTAM start option EEVERIFY from ACTIVATE to NEVER.

  This problem may be described as follows:
    1. User issued the command as follows to determine the EE
       connectivity:
         D NET,EEDIAG,TEST=YES,ID=switch_puname
    2. VTAM sent the EEDIAG test probe to the remote partner.
    3. EZBUDEET received control to send the EEDIAG test probe
       results back to VTAM. It issued the itStor request to
       obtain the CSM storage for the results data. ItStor
       request failed due to constrained level of the CSM
       storage. It tried to use the zero address as a CSM storage
       address. This caused an ABEND0C4 in EZBUDEET.
