  • When running FCH in batch with the NOUPDATE=YES option and
specifying a FIND command, using a VSAM file as input,
receive the following message -
FMNBA375 VSAM OPEN RC X"08", Error Code X"A8" (data set in use).

*                      VSAM files for update when only FIND    *
*                      commands or NOUPDATE=YES has been       *
*                      specified. This results in message      *
*                      FMNBA375 being issued.                  *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

Problem conclusion


    

  • File Manager has been changed to open VSAM files for input when
either NOUPDATE=YES is specified with a procedure , or no Change
commands have been used.
