PM38131: GETTING SOCKET ERROR TRYING TO USE FM/CICS SERVER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Getting socket error trying to use FM/CICS server
  
  Module FMN0RETC resides in a non-APF authorized library.  When
  it is placed in an APF authorized library, the problem is
  resolved.
  
  Load FMN0RETC should only be loaded conditionally (Batch only).
  

Local fix

• Placed FMN0RETC in an APF-authorized library.

  File Manager should not load FMN0RETC in this mode.
  

Problem conclusion

• File Manager has been updated to correct the problem.
