Error description

  • Error Message: The problem is that large Sequential Byte buffer
    allocations are seen even when the amount of data to be written
    into the buffer is too small when CDROutputStream is reused.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Large SequentialByteBuffer allocations are seen when
    CDROutputStream is reused though the amount of data to be
    written out is less.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    5.0.0 SR10
    1.4.2 SR13-1
    1.4.2 SR13-1 (z/OS 64-bit)
    1.4.2 SR13-1 (Linux AMD64)
    1.4.2 SR13-1 (Windows AMD64)
    .
    The problem is resolved by clearing the value during buffer
    reset thus avoiding large allocations.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20090424 or later
