  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Run time Performance: When running      *
  *                      under CICS, dynamic call performance    *
  *                      can be degraded for calls between V5+   *
  *                      and pre-V5 programs. The effect may be  *
  *                      more noticeable when there are many     *
  *                      programs involved in the transaction.   *

  In the COBOL runtime, various dynamic call fast path logic and
  call caching available under batch were not enabled when
  running under CICS.
  

Problem conclusion

• Dynamic call overhead has been reduced for the following
  scenarios under CICS (COBOL V5+ means COBOL V5 and later
  programs, pre-COBOL V5 means COBOL V4 and earlier programs):
  
  - V5+ to V5+
  - V5+ to pre-V5+
  - pre-V5+ to V5+
