Error description

• COBOL/VSE programs making use of internal sort may abend with
  segment translation exception (interruption code 10).

  *                      SYNCSORT a segment-translation          *
  *                      exception (MSGCEE3200S) may occur.      *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  Execution flow through the compiler-to-runtime SORT interface
  stub incorrectly identifies the execution environment
  information control block which then results in the reported
  segment-translation-exception.
  

Problem conclusion

• The LE/COBOL run-time SORT interface stub has been changed
  to perform tighter validation checking on the environment
  information control block before attempting to use it.
