PI50468: HYPERSWAP IS OFF AFTER MGM_RESTORE_ABC 15/11/04 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• HyperSwap may remain disabled following the execution of some
  GDPS 3-site and 4-site procedures. The problem was introduced
  by PTF UI30696 for APAR PI41637. Whilst the problem was reported
  following the execution of procedure MGM_RESTORE_ABC a number
  of other MGM_* and MGMM_* procedures are also affected. The
  following message is issued when HyperSwap is left in the
  incorrect state: GEO551I HYPERSWAP SET OFF BY USER AUTBAT1

Problem conclusion

• After the installation of this PTF, HyperSwap will no longer
  remain permanently disabled following the execution of certain
  procedures that might alter HyperSwap status. This PTF must be
  installed on both the KP and KG systems to be fully implemented.
