Error description

  • The FFST was taken by faiGetNext after it received return code
    MQRC_CONNECTION_QUIESCING when calling lpiSpiGet.
The dump shows that this was returned because the channel
    initiator was shutting down.
faiGetNext should be able to handle this return code.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An FFST, indicated by the CSQX053E *
    * message, is produced by faiGetNext or *
    * fmiGetNext during CHINIT termination. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The thread processing the SYSTEM.BROKER.ADMIN.STREAM queue calls
function faiGetNext in order to OPEN the queue and then to GET
from it, however if the queue manager or CHINIT is terminating
then a reason code of MQRC_CONNECTION_QUIESCING (2202) may be
returned which is not handled and an FFST is issued.
    Similarly another thread, processing the
    SYSTEM.BROKER.INTER.BROKER.COMMUNICATIONS queue, calls
fmiGetNext in order the OPEN and GET from the queue, and again
the condition above is not handled, resulting in an FFST.

Problem conclusion

  • faiGetNext and fmiGetNext will now handle the reason code
MQRC_CONNECTION_QUIESCING in the same way as
MQRC_Q_MGR_QUIESCING and MQRC_Q_MGR_STOPPING, so that no
    FFST is produced.
