PI06388: FTP FAILS TO TRANSFER AN MVS DATASET WITH EMPTY RECORD

Error description

• Sending an MVS data set from one z/OS to another z/OS with FTP
  fails when all these conditions are met:
  
  1.  The source data set contains an empty record
  2.  STRUCTURE RECORD is specified
  3.  SITE NOTRUNCATE is specified
  

Local fix

• Do not specify SITE NOTRUNCATE

  In write_record() function, if in the original VB data set
  there is an empty record, FTP fails to judge whether truncation
  occurred or not. This causes FTP to report a truncation error.
  

Problem conclusion

• The FTP has been corrected.
