    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
When running the Deployment UNZIP job, the following error is

    received:

    mkdir: FSUM6404 directory "/tmp/izud/userid/Txxxxxxx": EDC5111I

    Permission denied.

    FOMF0504I mount error: 6F E3E20004

    EACCES: Permission is denied

Last 4 hex digits is the SAF reason code

The temporary work directory was /tmp/izud/userid/ which could

cause a mount error due to permission denied when running the

Deployment UNZIP job because only the owner of the /tmp/izud

    directory has write permission.

Problem conclusion

  • z/OSMF Software Management has been updated in z/OS V2.3 and
V2.4 to use the correct temporary work directory in the
    Deployment UNZIP job.

The temporary work directory was /tmp/izud/userid/ which could
cause a mount error due to permission denied when running the
Deployment UNZIP job because only the owner of the /tmp/izud
    directory has write permission.

The temporary work directory is now /tmp/izud-userid...

To circumvent the mount error, change the permission of the
temporary work directory /tmp/izud to 777.
