OA52001: XRC - EXTRA CARE REQUIRED WHEN APPLYING OR REMOVING OA47115.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If you have already successfully installed OA47115, then no
  further action is required unless you have to remove OA47115.
  This PE is to further clarify instructions on application and
  removal of OA47115.  In particular, sessions MUST be uncoupled
  to APPLY/REMOVE this maintenance.  There are no code changes in
  this PE, but PTFs will be provided with updated ++HOLD data.
  
  If at any time during these instructions, something goes wrong
  please contact IBM for assistance.
  
  Failure to follow these instructions while removing or
  installing OA47115 WILL make it necessary to perform a full
  copy of XRC.  Additional manual cleanup may be necessary to
  allow XRC to be capable of the full copy.
  
  If your installation uses a DR copy, it should be created
  before performing the following instructions.  If the DR
  copy is created on this or later maintenance levels it cannot be
  recovered on earlier maintenance levels.
  
  If XRC is active, use XCOUPLE DELETE to uncouple all
  sessions.  Otherwise use XCOUPLE PURGE to uncouple all
  sessions.
  
  In either case, ensure that all sessions are uncoupled
  PRIOR to XSTART!  You can verify this with
  XQUERY MASTER and/or XSTATUS CLUSTER.  If this shows coupled
  sessions active then contact IBM for further assistance.
  
  If XRC is active, now is the time to XSUSPEND TIMEOUT.
  
  As necessary, re-allocate all XRC CONTROL data sets to satisfy
  BOTH of the following conditions:
  1.  XRC CONTROL data set must be at least one cylinder in size.
  2.  XRC CONTROL data set must start on a cylinder boundary.
  
  If the CONTROL data sets already meet these conditions,
  re-allocation is not necessary.
  
  Apply or remove OA47115.
  
  Perform resynchronization using the normal procedures for
  your installation.
  
  Create a new DR copy of this maintenance level.
