APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An ANR label that VTAM was processing in ISTRPCLS had a zero
  length field. This caused a loop condition.

  The problem is summarized as follows:
  1. An RTP connection is being established.
  2. An ANR label that comes in on the Route Setup reply
     has an invalid length for an unknown reason.
  3. This invalid ANR label causes a loop in ISTRPCLS.
  

Problem conclusion

• ISTRPCLS has been modified to detect an invalid length in
  the ANR label and issue an ABEND0A9-FF13 if one is found.
  
  ISTRPCRT is included for maintenance purposes.
  
  The cause of the invalid ANR label could not be determined and
  will not be addressed by this APAR.
