  This APAR provides new function to support customers
  running with large amounts of real storage, generally
  between 1TB to 4TB.
  
  1. Systems with address increments of 4G or greater are
     now able to configure large amounts of storage offline
     using the CONFIG OFFLINE system command.
  
  2. DISPLAY M=STORAGE processing is enhanced, resulting
     in shorter command (MSGIEE174I) response times on
     systems with large amounts of real storage.
  
  3. Stand-alone dump capture times can be reduced by
     specifying a new keyword in the IARV64 macro that
     allows an application to specify whether the memory
     object is to be included in a stand-alone dump.

Comments

• This APAR provides new function to support customers with
  large amounts of real storage. The following describes
  the new function provided by this APAR:
  
  1. CONFIG OFFLINE Processing is changed to enable for
     interrupts after processing each 2 Gigabytes of storage.
  
  2. DISPLAY M=STORAGE processing is changed to more efficiently
     process the command.  The changes are only in effect for
     systems that can configure at least 512G of real storage
     online, as these are the systems that would most likely
     experience the long command response time.
  
  3. A new keyword, SADMP=YES/NO is added to the IARV64 macro
     to allow an application to specify whether the memory
     object is to be included in a stand-alone dump by
     default.
  
     The following parameter is added to the IARV64 Macro for
     REQUEST=GETSTOR, REQUEST=GETCOMMON, and REQUEST=GETSHARED:
  
       SADMP={DEFAULT|YES|NO}
          is an optional keyword input that specifies
          whether the memory object is to be captured in a
          stand-alone dump.
          DEFAULT: DEFAULT
  
       SADMP=DEFAULT
           When PAGEFRAMESIZE is not 2G, the memory
           object should be captured in a stand-alone
           dump.
  
           When PAGEFRAMESIZE is 2G, the memory object
           should not be captured in a stand-alone dump
           unless explicitly requested by the stand-alone
           dump program.
  
       SADMP=YES
           The memory object should be captured in a
           stand-alone dump.
  
       SADMP=NO
           The memory object should not be captured in a
           stand-alone dump unless explicitly requested
           by the stand-alone dump program.
