* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* Abend  in ISTNRCCE during Z NET,QUICK                        *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Apply PTF.                                                   *
****************************************************************
The problem may be summarized as follows:
1. Telnet Share ACB function is enabled.
2. A Telnet connection is established
3. Z NET,QUICK is issued
4. Because of timing and locking issues, ABEND0C4 occurs in
ISTNRCCE.

This could happen during a V INACT of the application major node
also, although it is not as likely as during a Z NET,QUICK.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • ISTDECL2 is updated to prevent the ABEND0C4.
