OA41908: VTAM BFRUSE DISPLAY NEEDS TO INCLUDE HIGH VIRTUAL COMMON (HVCOMM) STORAGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• D NET,BFRUSE does not display HVCOMM storage usage. This is
  needed to determine how much storage is available for the VTAM
  internal trace.

  This problem is described as follows:
    1. VTAM obtains the storage for the VTAM Internal trace
       table from the high virtual common (HVCOMM) storage
       above the 2-gigabyte bar.
    2. D NET,BFRUSE command output does not include the
       VTAM the HVCOMM storage usage.
  

Problem conclusion

• ISTATCVT has been changed to provide the current HVCOMM
  storage usage, maximum storage usage counters and constant
  of 2048 megabytes for the HVCOMM storage limit for the
  VTAM Internal trace (VIT) table. ISTRACTI has been changed
  to update HVCOMM storage usage and maximum storage usage
  counters when it obtains or frees the storage for the VIT
  table.
  ISTINCNO,ISTCFCMM,ISTCFCWM,ISTVTMEU and MSG2400 have been
  changed to define the messages IST2403I and IST2405I for
  the HVCOMM storage usage and the limit. ISTNOCDB has been
  changed to display the HVCOMM storage usage and the limit.
