APAR status

Error description

  • Z/OSMF ISPF users having a split screen display, first display
has the vertical scroll bar, the second display is missing the
vertical display bar. Altering the ZOOM to 100% for the display
under Internet Explorer(IE8) you can get the vertical scroll bar
to be displayed on the second split screen. This circumvention
does not work on FireFox. A zoom higher than 125% the vertical
scroll bar gets lost.

Local fix

  • IE8 if you lower the zoom percentage factor.

*                      used for new logical screens created    *
*                      when ISPF is running in z/OSMF.         *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
If ISPF option 0 is used to change the screen format, new
logical screens in the current ISPF session may not be
displayed using the updated screen format. Other symptoms
include panels being displayed with blank areas and
S0C4 abends.

Problem conclusion

  • ISPF is updated to ensure any changes to the screen format
setting are used by display processing when creating and
swapping logical screens with ISPF running in z/OSMF.
