APAR status

Error description

• Abend0C4 pic 11 in IEAVEPST. Waiting on TWO ECBs in IKTLOGR.
  Abend0c4 occurred due to one of the ECB storage was freed.
  Addional symptoms:

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABEND0C4 in IEAVEPST during the         *
  *                      post processing of IKTLOGR.             *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  This problem may be described as follows:
    1. TSO user was already logged on with the userid User1.
       User1 session was active with the terminal TERMA.
    2. TSO user tried to logon on a different terminal TERMB
       with the userid User1 and LOGONHERE reconnect option.
    3. IKTLOGR received control to process the LOGONHERE
       reconnect processing. It found the session of the
       User1 and terminal TERMA. It scheduled the SRB of
       IKTIST01 to drive the lostterm routine IKTLTERM. It
       also set the timer to cleanup the new address space
       if needed. It issued WAIT request to wait for the
       lostterm routine IKTLTERM and timer routine to post
       its ECBs.
    4. Lostterm routine IKTLTERM received control to process
       further. It exited without posting the ECB of IKTLOGR
       due to error. It issued the ABEND622 to cleanup the
       address space of the step 1. This freed up its ECB
       storage.
    5. Timer routine received control and it posted the timer
       ECB of IKTLOGR. This caused the ABEND0C4 in post routine
       due to freed ECB storage of the step 4.
  

Problem conclusion

• IKTLOGR has been changed to wait on only one ECB of the lostterm
  routine IKTLTERM. Timer routine of IKTLOGR has been changed
  to cleanup the address space with the ABEND622 if it receives
  control after long wait.
  IKTLTERM has been changed to validate the address space of
  IKTLOGR before posting its ECB.
  IKTTVWA has been changed to remove TVWALECB field.
