    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Toleration APAR for z/OS JES3 V2R1.     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    In a JES3 JESplex, JES3 release HJS7790 can co-exist with
    releases HJS7750, HJS7760, HJS7770, and HJS7780. Support
of new function in JES3 release HJS7790 requires toleration
    updates to pre-HJS7790 JES3 releases.

Parts IATYGLOB and IATMSR2 are updated to specify that JES3
    releases HJS7750, HJS7760, HJS7770, HJS7780, and HJS7790 can
coexist and connect when the global is at any of the listed
    releases.

Starting in z/OS V2R1, JES3 will be supported only if it is at
the level that was shipped with the active MVS. If JES3 and
MVS are not at the appropriate z/OS level a MSGIAT3210 "JES3
zv.rr.m is not supported on z/OS vv.rr.mm, reply CONTINUE or
CANCEL" message will be issued at initialization to indicate
the mismatch and accept an operator reply. The operator will
need to reply "CANCEL" to cancel JES3 initialization. The
operator will need to reply "CONTINUE" to allow the JES3
initialization to complete. Initializing in this environment
may cause errors in applications that use JES3 services.

Starting in z/OS V2R1, jobs can require a minimum MVS level
for the execution based upon as determined during conversion.
JES3 modules are updated to provide the MVS level when a local
main is connecting to the global main. Updates also adhere to
the minimum MVS level when scheduling jobs for execution if a
pre-HJS7790 level is used for the global main.

Starting in z/OS V2R1, the Extended Status Subsystem Interface
Function (SSI80) supports returning user data using 64-bit
addressable storage. To provide this support, the size of the
STATSTOR DSECT (IAZSSST) has changed. JES3 module IATGRES has
been updated from using a fixed STATSTOR length to supporting
variable STATSTOR lengths that may be generated across the
releases which can co-exist in a JES3 JESplex.

Starting in z/OS V2R1, JES3 supports two new initialization
statement keywords: JOBTRACK for the OPTIONS initialization
statement, SYSSYM for the CLASS initialization statement.
JES3 modules are updated for pre-HJS7790 releases to recognize
and support the existence of the new keywords in the
initialization stream. This does not include support of the
function or behavior provided by the new keywords which
requires that the global be at the HJS7790 level or later.

Starting in z/OS V2R1, JES3 supports in-stream data sets in
cataloged procedures and INCLUDE groups. JES3 modules are
updated to build CSBT and JET control blocks for SYSIN data
set JDS entries created when conversion of a job, using
in-stream data sets, occurs in an HJS7790 CI FSS.

The information in the following manuals should appear as
indicated below. Updates will only be made to the manuals in
    future releases.
