Error description
ABEND0A9 RC=FF14 in ISTLSCMG processing timer queue element occurs 30 seconds after LCS link FSM is set to active. The timer that was started when VTAM sent connect.request was not canceled when the connect.confirm was received.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All using switched XCA connections. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABEND0A9 RCFF14 occurs in * * module ISTLSCMG * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The problem is summarized as follows: 1) A remote switched PU is trying to establish a connection to VTAM. 2) XID negotiations proceed far enough for a CONTACTED RU to be sent to PUNS/ConfigSvcs. 3) The CONTACTED RU was processed and module ISTACCQ4 scheduled the AUNCB PU PAB to set the LSNFSM to station active. 4) Unexpectedly, the PU PAB was dispatched to process a CLOSE_STATION_INDication received from the remote PU. 5) Recovery processing is called to take down and subsequently recover the link. However, a small timing window allowed the LSNCB_CONTACT_COMPLETE bit to be left on. 6) At some time later, the remote PU attempts to recover the connection by sending in an XID. The same line was reused for the new connection. 7) Dial-in processing reaches an LSNFSM state of LSN_SW_CONNECT_REQUESTED. A Connect.Request is sent to the adaptor for this connection. The LSNTQE is set to time the request. 8) In this case, an unexpected XID arrives at the LSNCB PU PAB which causes the LSNCB PU PAB to modify the LSNFSM to station active. This occurs because the LSNCB_CONTACT_COMPLETE bit is still on causing incorrect processing. 6) Module ISTINCTM, processes the TQE request issued by ISTLSCNB It unexpectedly discovers the TQE is still active and issues an ABEND0A9 FF13. 7) When the Connect.Response is received, it is discarded by the PU PAB due to the unexpected LSNFSM state of station active. 8) Since the Connect.Response was not processed, the LSNTQE was cancelled. 9) When the LSNTQE timer pops, module ISTLSCMG take an ABEND0A9 RCFF14 due to the unexpected FSM state.
Problem conclusion
ISTLSCLD, ISTLSCLF - Have been modified to unconditionally clear the LSNCB_CONTACT_COMPLETE bit. ISTACCQ4, ISTLSCLA, ISTLSCNG, ISTLSCNH, ISTLSCLJ, ISTLSC6V, ISTLSCKN - Included for maintenance purposes only.
