Error description

  • NEW FUNCTION:
    - Support for HCM Demo Version:
HCD provides support for the HCM demo version such
that no license check is done if the calling HCM is the demo
      version.
    - Enhancement to the HCD multi-user access function:
In response to customer requests the multi-user option
of an IODF can now also be set when a production IODF
is changed to a work IODF.
This relieves users from having to explicitly set the
multi-user option with the Change IODF dialog.

Support for HCM Demo Version is required.

    - HCD provides support for the HCM demo version
such that no license check is done
if the calling HCM is the demo version.

Enhancement to the HCD multi-user access function

    - In response to customer requests the multi-user
option of an IODF can now also be set when a
production IODF is changed to a work IODF.
This relieves users from having to explicitly
set the multi-user option with the Change IODF dialog.

Enhancement to the IODF checker function

    - The HCD IODF checker is enhanced to detect
and repair incomplete connections between CHPIDs
    and switch ports.

    Enhancements to HCD diagnostic messages

    - When during a device split HCD detects that the
Processor Information Table (PIT) for a processor
is missing (due to erroneous customer installation),
HCD provides message MSGCBDA267I in the dialog,
rather than cancelling HCD (ABEND00F RSN00990153 in
    module CBDMDDVF).

    - When the Generate Matrix function for a switch
is invoked that has no ports installed, HCD provides
error message MSGCBDA167I rather than cancelling
HCD with ABEND00F RSN 00990531 in module CBDMSPAT.

    - If an processor type change is done for a
processor that has a CF LP defined, error
message MSGCBDG484I may have been given which
requires the user to first remove the CF connection,
perform the processor type change, and then redo
the CF connection again. The processor type change
has been changed such that the CF connection can
    stay for this function.

Enhancement for defaulting the subchannel set number

    - When a device is connected to a second control unit,
HCD defaults the subchannel set number again rather than
maintaining the subchannel set number from the connection
to the first control unit. This behavior has been changed
such that the already defined subchannel set is maintained
for the connection to a further control unit.

Show complete EDT information when copying OS without devices
    in HCM

    - When copying via HCM an OS configuration that has no devices
defined but several EDTs, the Copy Summary Page only showed
the first EDT although all EDTs have been copied. This has
been changed such that all copied EDTs are now shown on
    the Summary Page.
