Error description
1/ An ISPF user enters: ISRDDN LPA DUPLICATES The pop-up panel ISRDDLWA is displayed asking whether the user wants to proceed with the function: This function may search Linklist, LPA, Parmlib or APF libraries. At some sites this may lead to security violations resulting in anything from an unhappy security guy at your door to revocation of your TSO user id. To allow scanning of these libraries enter YES below: . Type YES to proceed . . . NO (Enter SKIP to proceed and to skip this panel in the future.) Pressing PF3 from this panel results in the allocated data sets being searched and the "Duplicate members list" displayed. We expect PF3 to cancel the user out of the warning pop-up and return to the "Current Data Set Allocations" list. Even if the user explicitly enters NO, indicating that they do not want to proceed, ISRDDN still continues to search and display the duplicates. In this customer's case, it locks the user out for 5 or 10 minutes, so it hurts productivity. 2/ In addition, the panel could be clearer (or perhaps more organized) by stating that enter is required for all of YES/NO/SKIP, and what action is taken in each case. 3/ Finally, this customer is wondering if the wording on this panel above the prompt could be more professional in tone. Perhaps "resulting in anything from an unhappy security guy at your door to revocation of your TSO user id" could be reworded, or simply omitted. In addition, the panel might be more infomative if it warned the user that this search could take more than a few minutes.
