Error description

  • Etherchannel NIB with lossless failover enabled could
experience
unexpected failover or failback before link gets stable
due to
network delays. This occurs when the ICMP response
doesn't
come through the new active channel after a
failover/failback
within the specified period resulting in unnecessary
failover
or failback.

Local fix

  • Disable lossless failover in Etherchannel NIB

Problem summary

  • Etherchannel NIB with lossless failover enabled could result
in unexpected failover or failback before link gets stable
due to network delays when ICMP responses doesn't come
within the specified period

Problem conclusion

  • Ensure that Etherchannel counters stays in sync when there are
network delays preventing unnecessary failover or failback
