Error description

  • The udf kernel process consumes a lot of CPU cycles, even
    after the UDFS file IO has ceased and even after all UDFS
    file systems have been unmounted.
    

Local fix

  • Rebooting the system is the only way to stop the run-away
    process.
    

Problem summary

  • UDF extension threads consume lot of CPY cycles

  • UDF extension should ignore signal interruption
