APAR status

Error description

  • If the DN of an LDAP user consists of a quoted comma
secldapclntd fails
to identify that user on the LDAP server based on its DN
and as a
consequence lsgroup fails to list that user.
Entry in syslog:
3001-718 Failed to search (CN=name\) from the LDAP
server.

Local fix

  • no workaround available

Problem summary

  • lsgroup fails to list the user, when user's DN on LDAP
server contains special character.

Problem conclusion

  • Handle the special character, so that LDAP client should be
able to find that user.
