APAR status

Error description

  • df -s <fsname> displays incorrect statistics when the
file systems specified by the argument are currently
mounted.

Local fix

  • Do not use df -s on a mounted file system

Problem summary

  • Running df -s on a mounted filesystem, the VFS specific helper
is still called, meaning the reported statistics may be
incorrect.

Problem conclusion

  • Correct the handling of the -s flag.
