Error description

  • After NIMADM we don't see oslevel information on the
disks
in SMS menus
For example when we migrated from 5.3 to 6.1 we saw in
SMS
as follows:

Local fix

  • After the migration run bosboot.

Problem summary

  • No oslevel information in SMS boot menu when trying to
determine which disk to boot.

Problem conclusion

  • Prepend appropriate bootinfo.txt file to boot image via dd
command during NIMADM and alt_disk_install installations.
