Error description
When running sar command without any flag, it does not print or report Average line output correctly. Here is an example. Local fix
Use POSIX TZ variable (eg TZ=CST6CDT)
Problem summary
sar command gives incorrect average values when olson time zone is used
Problem conclusion
After memory allocation ,memory is initialised to 0. This is mentioned in the above part of the defect.
