    returns 0

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED:
    * Systems running the AIX 6100-02 Technology Level with the
    * bos.rte.libc fileset at the 6.1.2.6 or 7.1.2.7 level.  This
    * problem is known to affect DB2.
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    * Possible core dumps in various programs.  This problem is
    * known to cause DB2 instances to crash intermittently.  DB2
    * systems with databases cataloged with alternate servers using
    * IP addresses are vulnerable.
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:
    * Install APAR IZ70670.
    ****************************************************************
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes have been done to take care of copying the
    copying the contents of the address rather than just copying
    the reference.
