Error description

  • On incorrect or corrupted VGDA data the readvgda and
    readvgda_svg commands may fail with SIGSEGV and dump
    core.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Readvgda, which is run when collecting LVM snap, can seg fault
    if it reads a disk with some non LVM metadata on it.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Add signal handling to readvgda such that it will fail nicely
    from a seg fault, not logging any error in errpt.
