Default pcm will fall into ping-pong mode if ascq 84/00 is en- countered.
Problem conclusion
If the check condition is 84/00 then mark the scratch buffer with a NO_FAILOVER flag. When the driver retries the path then check for this flag before selecting a path. If it is set then don't do any failover processing. Select the same path and have the driver fail the I/O because it has exceeded retries.
